COVID-19 Update: March 23rd

Dr Katie DeGroot continues to be available to both new and returning patients during this difficult time. However, upon the recommendation of the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC), all appointments will now be conducted virtually, either through a secure video conferencing portal or over the telephone. There will be no in-person office visits at this time, unless there is a “risk of imminent or serious harm and alternative care is unavailable” (per the CNPBC, March 19th 2020). This switch to distance-based care and resulting restriction to in-office visits is in line with changes made by many other health care providers.

We will get through this together, even if we are physically apart!

Those who have appointments currently booked will be contacted shortly to co-ordinate this change-over from in-person meetings to virtual visits.

Please note that when booking a virtual visit online, you do not have to book an appointment at the office location closest to you. Rather, select the date/time that works best on your end (the office location selected indicates MY location at the time of the appointment, not yours). This location selection is only important when an in-person visit is deemed medically necessary or for a supplement or special order pick up.

For now, supplements and other items (essential oils, gluten-free foods, bulk organic foods, Natracare products, etc) remain available by request. To arrange for a special order or supplement pick up, please contact me directly. Given the current restriction on in-office visits, supplement and special order pick-ups will now take place at a designated location OUTSIDE of the office building. If you are self-isolating or are under quarantine, alternate arrangements may be possible to get your order to you.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this turbulent time. As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach out!
